My cousin, Elizabeth, is married to Alex who beats her and then, during the very few times she comes to family events she defends him to our family saying that Alex is a good husband and father to her two children. I do not understand why Elizabeth just does not leave Alex.” In your initial discussion post you will explain why Elizabeth does not leave Alex.

It is true that nowadays several women are the victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and many other crimes. It is the duty of responsible citizens that they contribute in protecting women victims and try to make an abuse free environment for women (Ochab, 2018). However, it had been seen in a lot of instances, women do not feel ready to get over even an abusive relationship and despite the fact that a lot of women get beaten, and are the victims of severe domestic violence, still they prefer to be in that ‘battering’ and unhappy relationship, because of emotional attachment and in often cases, due to financial reasons. Elizabeth has two children and we are not sure if she is herself a working lady.
